Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I loved my experience here from start to finish! First of all, I love the vegan menu here! Quite varied and everything I tried was tasty I am so happy to finally taste a vegan panacotta! And also their vegan sushi was my fav out of everything I tasted! I am so amazed that it is all made by one person - there is only the lady owner working and serving. She is wow! The place is quite tiny but it adds to the charm. It has Studio Ghibli vibes !"
"Lovely hidden gem! It’s a very cozy little restaurant with nice staff and really nice vegan food. We tried the spicy ramen (could have it everyday!) and the sushi. Will definitely become a regular client!"
"A feast for the eyes and the palate! Elegance, colours and texture harmonize for a delicious and healthy lunch - we ordered the Special Bento and the Sushi and they were divinely delicious! Thank you!"
"I went there when they opened (before covid) and then got takeaway more recently. Both times the vegan ramen was delicious. The restaurant is pretty small but such a nice atmosphere! Everything is homemade and if you’re lucky to seat in you can see the chef cooking, which is a great experience!"
"Wonderfully unique, regardless of which world-class city you’re from. This 6-seat Japanese vegan restaurant is run by two young Japanese women. I had the super bento and loved it. Will go back and try their sushi. Such a delight to stumble upon this cute, authentic place. It’s busy. And they don’t have the typical restaurant hours. When you see the chairs out and no one standing around, that’s your lucky day. The menu posted 3 months ago by another reviewer is up to date."
"Amazing, tiny Japanese vegan restaurant. Spicy ramen is great! Be prepared to wait a bit if you go during lunch hour because there are only 6 spots inside but it’s worth it."
"Small restaurant with 4 + 2 counter seats inside and a few seats outside. One restroom is in the back. One staff member was running the show on a rainy Wednesday for lunch service when I arrived. I enjoyed my spicy miso ramen and slurped happily while the sky was deciding whether to rain. The noodles had a slight kink in them and were of medium thickness. I appreciated the generous helpings of green onions, seaweed, corn kernels, and soy crumbles. I wish the lonely slice of shiitake had some friends. But two pieces of fried tofu were sufficient. Service was quick and friendly. Reservations only accepted for dinner service, according to the sign with operating hours outside."
"Well located near the Buttes Chaumont, this small & authentic Japanese restaurant serves vegan dishes like ramens, bento boxes and sushi/makis. The food is fresh, home made and pretty good overall! The atmosphere is warm & friendly and you feel transported to a local joint in Japan!"
